Killer Congestion Confronted Cunningly

BP Stringer And Councilmember Garodnick To Host Two Town Hall Meetings On Transportation Issues Facing Manhattan's East Side Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer and Councilmember Daniel Garodnick along with local elected officials, Community Boards 6 and 8, local tenants associations and representatives from local Police Precincts, DOT and MTA will host two Town Hall meetings to discuss pressing transportation issues facing Manhattan's East Side. The first meeting will be held on Monday, September 25th and will cover the Lower East Side to midtown. The second meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 28th and will cover midtown to East Harlem.

Topics expected to be discussed at the East Side Town Hall Meetings include: the Second Avenue subway line, Bus Rapid Transit, violations to Block the Box rules, traffic gridlock and congestion. Both Town Hall Meetings have been organized in preparation for "Manhattan on the Move," a major transportation conference Manhattan Borough President Stringer is hosting on October 12th that will bring together leaders in the field of transportation and local community members to discuss the transportation challenges facing Manhattan.
