Noisy Heavy Metal

by Sharky Davis

Democratic leader David Weinberger and Councilmember Alan Gerson give two thumbs down to Con-Ed's metal plates on Grand Street

Yesterday, Councilmember Alan Gerson held a press conference regarding the noisy metal plates covering much of Grand Street between Columbia & Pitt. The cars driving over them make “kurpluk,” “clinclag,” and other strange sounds often found on the original Batman series.

We know LoHo10002 & Grand Street News’ Yori Yanover was there, yet no report on it on LoHo10002

Guess Yori is hording the story for the next issue of the GSN.

How many people were there? Was the story covered by the press? Who is the villain of these terrible metal covers? How much more will the citizens of Gotham (ok, LES / LoHo) must endure? And how can Bruce Wayne, er, I mean Con Ed, get out of this one?

Stay tune to the next Bat issue...
