Tompkins Scare Park Some neighborhood characters have put together Halloween tricks and treats all day Saturday in Tompkins Square Park. Sounds like fun. They say it will be "kid friendly by day, spookier by night." Here's the schedule:
10 am - Help create Halloween Alley + Kids costume crafting Noon 3pm Body Temple blesses the Temperance Fountain. Music/ dancing all day - Butoh Workshops by Vangeline and Corinna Brown Hiller - Poetry Workshops by Chavisa - Caroling Workshop by A Brief View of the Hudson - Storytelling by Stuart Sugarbread, Debra Curtis & Matt Wagner 1pm - Kids event! Million Superhero March & Feats of Strength demonstration 2pm - Vangeline Theater- Sci Fi Butoh Procession 2:30 - Robot's Rule, featuring Dan Green's Robots from IFAM/Collective Unconscious 3pm - The Zombie Olympics presented by Kostume Kult 3:20 - Missy Galore 3:30 - Kids Halloween Theater 4pm - Imani & the Monsters 4:30 - Hungry March Band 5:30 - Zagnut Orkestar Darkness - Video Dome by Glass Bead Collective - Video Projections by CAVE / Shige Moriya 6:30 - Ambitious Orchestra 7:15 - Theremin by David Simons 8pm: Event winds down and we head out to haunt the rest of the city...
